| — To the Hero Candidates. in Episode 46 |
Condor was a Villain and the second-in-command of Jintae's Gang. He attacked in the Hero Trials, where he fought against the hero candidates that inincluded Kasha. Ultimately, he was defeated, with Hero Killer delivering the final blow.
A former resident of Grodnensa, the lawless land, Condor had knowledge of another Kasha from his past. He was a titular antagonist of the Hero Candidate Arc.
Appearance
Condor was a muscular man with long, hazelnut-brown hair and a dark brown skin tone. He wore a skull-like mask, with the lower jaw seemingly connected by an unknown material, presumably human flesh. His clothing featured intricate patterns decorated with symbols, and he often donned a cloak.
In his Killer’s Time, he wore a gold-laced robe from his homeland, concealed beneath a gold-laced red cape adorned with numerous floral-like patterns. He also wore ragged brown sandals.
Personality
Condor was a ruthless and arrogant individual, his confidence rivaling that of his leader and friend, Jintae. He took pleasure in killing, often smiling during his so-called "recruitment" attempts among the hero candidates.[1] He also exhibited a sadistic nature, delighting in toying with those he deemed weak.[2]
Despite his cruelty, Condor possessed an eerie sense of honor. He allowed his opponents time to strategize and expressed admiration for Hero Killer after she bested him, acknowledging her fatal surprise attack with genuine praise. However, his arrogance remained intact as he attempted to coerce her into becoming his "disciple".[3]
Condor spoke in a peculiar manner, with his speech text often punctuated by numerous commas. This implied that he either spoke slowly, deliberately slowed his speech for others to understand, or had a distinct accent.
History
Condor’s early life remained largely unknown, but he was born in Grodnensa as a member of royalty in the lawless land. At some point, he became aware that Kasha, the most powerful individual in Grodnensa, had been killed by another who later took the title.[4]
Later in life, Condor left his homeland to explore the known world ruled by the Hero Clan. He befriended Jintae Yang, a bloodthirsty swordsman and wielder of the One Hundred-Sided Blade at some point.
During their travels together, the two came across a primitive human settlement in the midst of executing a young woman, whom they had condemned as a witch upon discovering her to be a Gift user. Observing the scene, Condor quickly noticed another young woman hiding among the crowd and recognized her as a fellow Gift user. Jintae, impressed by her ability to conceal her powers, unlike her sister, commended her and offered to teach her how to kill.
After slaughtering the entire settlement, Jintae turned to the young woman and asked for her name. She replied: Sapphire.
The two then became a trio and would get into numerous fights with the Hero Clan having clashed against The Legion, slaughtering dozens of the heroic foot soldiers.
