Orderbound is a secretive organization and a mysterious group of powerful extremists. They were responsible for attempting to kill Luenna, the matriarch of Clan I and late wife of Ijincheon, the Executioner of the Silver Forest and Sword Hunter, having hunted down the couple for years becoming enemies of their family.
Following the Battle of Langord, they resurfaced to once again menace Clan I and Ihwa, the Hero Killer, the youngest daughter and heir of their targets. They are collectively one of the major antagonists of the series.[1]
Overview
Orderbound is presumed to have existed for an unknown period of time, operating in the shadows for centuries, possibly since the end of the Era of the Four Witches, as evidenced by their knowledge about the Witch's Cage and Outsiders. According to Sinu, the organization's end goal is to let the known world meet its predestined end in a future apocalypse.[2]
The organization appears to primarily consist of swordsmen, with members mostly identified by uniform cloaks that hide their identities with white colored armor. Orderbound has also made connections with powerful individuals, such as Sinu and his rebels of Red Cloud House that sided against their teacher, Huiyeon. Due to their operating in secrecy, there is very little information about Orderbound's structure, leadership, and other members.
Strength
Members of Orderbound are extraordinary combatants. A group of their warriors are skillful enough to target a member of the Four Swordsmen, the world's greatest sword wielders, through relentless pursuits as they were able to drive the Executioner of the Silver Forest to seek help from an influential establishment like the Red Cloud House later contending with the prestigious swordsmanship school's highly trained students albeit with assistance.
One member possessed the Wind Demon Sword, a powerful Shard capable of generating fierce aerokinetic abilities.[3]
While others, like the Red Cloud House's traitors, are shown to be masters in cooperative fighting, as well as having the confidence to target the Executioner despite the latter's prowess.[4]
Aside from combative strength, the organization also appears to possess an impressive amount of information sources, having immediately targeted Luenna the moment she appeared in the known world and showcased an incredible level of tracking ability as they pursued her and her husband, Ijincheon, for years before the couple sought out Huiyeon's help.[5]
